The month of August has seen good activity at the Chamber. The International Webinar on Farmer Producer Organisations – FPOs organized by the GCCI Agriculture& Food Processing Committee was a huge success with more than 150 participants. National & international speakers of repute spoke about their vast experience of being part of FPOs and how collectively FPOs can wield great influence in producing and marketing agriculture products.

1st of July 2019 was the day when I took over as the President of this prestigious institution GCCI, filled with excitement in anticipation of an eventful tenure and plans of organizing some great upscale events to add value to the business community of Goa. It was indeed a huge sense of pride for me to have been chosen to occupy this chair being the second one in my family to have done so.

The era of Information Technology (IT) companies providing high quality services at competitive price points,on account of labour arbitrage, is passé. Over the last few decades, IT/ITeS industry has emerged globally as a key driver of growth and is a large industry employing millions of people across the continents.

The Government of Goa has notified the Goa Information Technology Policy and Roadmap – 2018. This scheme shall be called the Land / Built up Area Rebate Scheme, 2018. It shall come into force from the date of the notification of its publication in the official Gazette and shall remain in force for a period of 5 years from the date of notification.

As decided by the GCCI Managing Committee, 2021-23, with effect from 01 July 2021, the GCCI Secretariat working hours will be as follows: Monday to Friday & 1st & 3rd Saturday from 9.30 a. m to 5.30 p. m; 5th Saturday in the month if any will be a normal working day.
